Obituary of Whitney Hardee Cox

Whitney Hardee Cox, 28, wife of Patrick Earl Cox, passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at her parent’s home surrounded by her family. Born on May 28, 1987, in Georgetown, she was the daughter of Stacy Russell Hardee and Ramona Cannon Hardee. Whitney was a member of Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church and a 2005 graduate of Andrews High School. She lived life to the fullest and enjoyed spending time outdoors, shopping, taking pictures, decorating and most of all spending time with her family, especially her children. Whitney enjoyed sharing her story through social media, her blog “This Little Light of Mine” and speaking at different churches. She always encouraged others to let their light shine for Christ regardless of their circumstances. Survivors include her husband and parents of Andrews; two children Taylor Elizabeth Cox and Luke Oliver Cox both of Andrews; maternal grandmother, Betty Cannon of Andrews; paternal grandparents, Mildred Lambert Hardee and Lloyd Lee Hardee, Jr. of Andrews; a brother, Ryan Lloyd Hardee of Andrews; a brother in law, Benjamin Jake Taylor of Andrews; mother in law, Pricilla Goude of Andrews; grandmother in law, Margaret Bouchette of Andrews; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Wilmer Cannon; father in law, Earl B. Cox; step father in law, Ben Taylor, Jr.; and a grandfather in law, Billy Young. Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Chris Browder, Rev. Jack Todd and Rev. Jimmy Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in the Lambert Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM Tuesday at Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church.
