Obituary of Joseph Dekay Cribb, Sr.
Joseph Dekay Cribb, Sr., 80, husband of Agnes “Tootsie” Lambert Cribb, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2017 at his home.
Born on October 16, 1936, in Georgetown, he was the son of the late William Liston Cribb and the late Vermil Haselden Cribb. Mr. Cribb was an active member of Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church where he served as a church greeter. He was a United States Navy Veteran and retired from International Paper Company with more than 35 years of service. Mr. Cribb enjoyed hunting, fishing and helping out at his church whenever he could.
Survivors include his wife of Georgetown; two sons, Joseph D. Cribb, Jr. of Georgetown and John E. Cribb (Mary) of Conway; two step-daughters, Deborah Thomas (Dwight) and LaGay Belcher (Lester) all of Georgetown; six grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and one sister, Barbara Craig of FL.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah A. Cribb.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Monday, January 9, 2017 at Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Chris Browder and Rev. Owen Belcher officiating. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Sunday at Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church.
