Teresa and family, Les and I are so sorry to hear of your loss. Ken was definitely a free spirit that lite up the people around him. His sheer determination to accomplish or conquer every obstacle in front of him made me admire him even more. If Ken was with me in a fire I was comfortable knowing he had my back. One good thing is he is up there in Heaven with Maddog putting out the blazes of hell. Know that his spirit will be especially with you and your family and also with the ones he encountered in life. Ken will always have all of our backs. Love Bill and Les.

He Had A Heart Of Gold..When I First Me Kenneth Avis,It Was A Cold Slippery Kinda Day,And My Car Had Skidded Into A Ditch. I Didnt Know Anyone In This Great Big State Of S.C...and Noone Stopped To Help But This BigWhite Guy(Wearing Sunglasses And A Cowboy Hat With A RaccoOn Tail On The Back....He Looked More Like A HELLS ANGEL AND He Should Have Been On A Bike ...But he Pulled My Car Out The Ditch And Said You Cant Tell Anyone What I Just Did Because Im On The Job..and I Never Told A Sole....But Just Know He Was My ANGEL that Morning ..And I Wil Never Forget His act Of Selfless Kindness...WE HAVE LOST AN ANGEL AND GOD HAS GAINED 1

I send my love and heart out to his family. I have known the family for awhile. His daughter was my neighbor friend. I spent alot of time at their house. Kenny was a good man! He will be missed dearly! To the family: keep your heads up. Again i send my heart to you all!
