Obituary of Ruben Benjamin Hildreth, Jr.

Ruben Benjamin Hildreth, Jr., 70, of Surfside Beach, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2024, at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Born on December 22, 1953, in Polkton, NC, he was the son of the late Ruben Benjamin Hildreth and the late Edna Blair Horne Hildreth. Mr. Hildreth was a US Navy veteran and enjoyed the simple things in life, such as playing cards, board games and going for a walk. Survivors include seven sisters, Frances Sam (Bill) of Danville, VA, Darlene Helms of Marshville, NC, Becky Carelock of Monroe, NC, Alice McCrorie (Kenneth) of Monroe, NC, Jane Isaacs (Doug) of Dingess, WV, Shirley Javadi (Hossein) of Matthews, NC and Barbara Hashemloo (Hassan) of Charlotte, NC; numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be private.
