Obituary of Theresa Parsons

Carolyn Theresa Howard Parsons, 52, wife of Jodie Josiah Parsons, passed away Friday, April 26, 2024, at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Born on February 28, 1972, in Georgetown, she was a daughter of James Frank Howard and Vergie Jane Pope Howard. Theresa’s life was not marked by lavish achievements or public accolades but by the quiet, steadfast manner in which she dedicated herself to the well-being of those around her. Her heart was her guide, leading her to assist and care for countless friends and family members through difficult times. She leaves behind a legacy of love and selflessness. Survivors include her husband of Andrews; mother and father of Georgetown; one step daughter, Brandie Parsons Cribb (James) of Andrews; three brothers, Frankie Howard of Georgetown, Ronald Howard of Georgetown and Robert Howard of Jefferson; step mother, Maggie Lynn Ackerman of Andrews; two step brothers, Bobby Howard of Georgetown and Bruce Howard (Cissy) of Conway; a half-sister, Claudia Howard of Georgetown; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two children, Brandon Johnson and Toni Parsons; maternal grandparents, TK and Elmira Pope; and paternal grandparents, Larry and Claudia Howard. Graveside services will be held at 4 PM Monday, April 29, 2024, in Andrews Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:30 Pm – 3:30 PM Monday at Ridgeway Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Ronald McDonald House or to the Make a Wish Foundation.
