Obituary of Susan Edwards Morris

Susan Carol Edwards Morris, 76, wife of Robert Bruce Morris, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Morris was born in Georgetown County on March 4, 1948, the daughter of the late Hugh Washington "Skeet" Edwards and Edith Frances McDaniel Edwards. Mrs. Morris proudly spent many years as an educator in the Andrews area, touching the lives of many. She always spoke of "her children'' and loved randomly running into them in various places. "Susie," as she was affectionately known by her grandchildren, was quite the talented artist. She loved doing puzzles of any kind and loved a (more than occasional) McDonald's Diet Coke. What she was most proud of were her four daughters and six grandchildren, often saying how she was blessed to have watched them grow and flourish. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Morris is survived by: her daughters, Brooke Morris Berry (Sean), Erin Morris Chaves, Courtney Morris Tilton (Elek), and Megan Morris Hood (Aaron). Also surviving are: six grandchildren, Maddie and Rylan Berry, Lane and Sawyer Tilton, Eli and Evelyn Hood; two brothers, Daniel Hayes Edwards (Carrie) and Hugh Stuart Edwards (Amy); and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Bethel Church of Andrews. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the sanctuary.
