Obituary of Karin Ann Z. Hollar

Karin Ann Zeigler Hollar, 81, widow of Reginald Bruce Hollar, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at her home. Born on October 17, 1942, in Florence, she was a daughter of the late Marion McLain Ziegler and the late Sadie Valentine Townsend Ziegler. Mrs. Hollar was a member of the Screven Baptist Church and was a part of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary for more than 20 years. In her younger years, Mrs. Hollar enjoyed spending time on the water and enjoyed working in her yard and shopping. Survivors include a grandson, Allen G. Hollar, Jr. (Malynne) of Andrews; two great-grandchildren, Coleman Hollar and Goldie Hollar; daughter-in-law, Teresa Hollar of Georgetown; special friends, Becky and Louie Britt of Georgetown; a nephew, Tommy Witherspoon of Hickory, NC; and a niece, Beth Witherspoon of Hickory, NC. She was preceded in death by a son, Allen G. Hollar, Sr. and a brother, Francis Marion Zeigler. Graveside services will be at 3 PM on Sunday, March 17, 2024, in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
