Obituary of Pnut Elliott, Jr.

Robert Dewaine “Pnut” Elliott, Jr., 36, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2024. Born on December 30, 1987, in Kingstree, he was a son of Robert D. “Waine” Elliott and Pamela Cooper Elliott. “Pnut” as he was affectionally called, worked at International Paper Company and was a member of the Union. “Pnut” found joy in the simple pleasures of life such as working on cars, riding motorcycles, hunting, listening to music, and spending time on the river. He had a heart big enough to embrace everyone as his own, being a “dad” to everyone, whether they needed one or not. “Pnut” had a listening ear and a helping hand, he was always there, true to his word, and ready to help in any way he could. Above all, “Pnut” 's biggest accomplishment and best attribute, was being a dad. Survivors include the love of his life, Kasey S. McCracken of Andrews; his mother, Pamela Cooper Elliott (Chris Simmons) of Andrews; his father, Robert D. "Waine" Elliott of Andrews; three children, Cullen Elliott, Emma Elliott and Luke Elliott; five brothers, Joshua Elliott (Whitnie) of Andrews, Bryce Simmons of Andrews, Ryan Simmons (Hannah) of Andrews, Johnathan McCracken (Maranda Lambert) of Andrews, and Tyson Marlowe (Ciara) of Hemingway; sister, Jennifer Newton (Steven) of Andrews; mother-in-law, Bridget Thornell of Andrews; best friend, Micah Howard of Andrews; numerous special aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews he thought of as his own. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Jack and Doris Elliott and Ernest and Joni Cooper. A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, March 15, 2024, in the Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM Thursday at The Christian Fortress.
