Obituary of George White

George Huey White, 92, widower of Betty White, passed away Friday, March 8, 2024, at Prince George Healthcare Center. George was born on July 21, 1931, in Barbour County, AL, the son of the late Rufus and Beatrice White. He was a member of Ringel Heights Baptist Church and was a US Army veteran having served in the Korean Conflict. George retired from International Paper Company, Woodlands Division. Survivors include one daughter, Cindy Jacobs (Robbie) of Georgetown; four grandchildren, Stacey Goins of Socastee, Tracey Howard (Brian) of Andrews, Katie Moore (Michael) of Georgetown and Casey Jacobs (Jenna) of Georgetown; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Dale White of Eufaula, AL; and one niece and three nephews. He was preceded in death by two wives, Betty White and Octavia White; two children, Linda Cox and Al White; a grandson, Alvin Brantley, Jr.; and two brothers, Rufus White, Jr. and Pete White. A memorial service will be held at 4 PM on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at Ringel Heights Baptist Church.
