Obituary of Sydney Morrison Browne

Sydney Morrison Browne, 73, husband of Debra Browne, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Born on July 26, 1950, in St. Kitts-Nevis, West Indies, he was a son of Franklin Browne and the late Marjorie France. Mr. Browne worked as a carpenter for many years and enjoyed fishing, listening to music and working on cars. Survivors include his wife Debra Browne of Georgetown; his father, Franklin Browne (Lorraine) of West Indies; three children, Sydney Antonio Browne (Natasha) of Georgetown, Shakena Browne of Georgetown and Shaleka Browne of Bronx, NY; four grandchildren, Shameka Hemingway, Serenity Santiago, Niosha Johnson and Cavaun Johnson; a special sister, Maurva Browne of Dallas, GA; a special uncle, Coverley Daniel of Bronx, NY; and numerous other sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and a sister, Shelia France. Services will be private.
