Obituary of Donna Leona Singletary

Donna Leona Singletary, 71, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2023, at Roper Hospital. Born on February 3, 1952, in Millville, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Howard Polhamus and Joan Verna Green Polhamus. Ms. Singletary was a nurse who spent her career taking care of others. She enjoyed gambling, shopping, and most of all spending time with her dogs and her family. Survivors include two children, Amy Struckman (Henry Long) of Georgetown and Brian Struckman (Coral) of Greenville; three grandchildren, Payton Parker of Georgetown, Brice Struckman of Greenville and Chase Struckman of Greenville; one brother, Michael Polhamus of Ladson; one sister, Sheila Maxwell (Denny) of Melissa, TX; and three nieces, Jennifer Malone (Kevin) of Sachse, TX, Christine Lanford (Lance) of Fate, TX and Tara Miller of Bonneau; a nephew, Robbie Miller of Bonneau; and numerous great nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Terrian Johnson; and a brother, Scott Polhamus. Services will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, July 12, 2023 in the Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at Ridgeway Funeral Home.
