Obituary of James Harvey Dozier

James Harvey Dozier, Jr., 77, husband of Diane Reynolds Dozier, passed away Monday, June 12, 2023, at The Landing of Georgetown. Born on August 16, 1945, in Mullins, he was the son of the late James Harvey Dozier, Sr. and the late Eva Cribb Dozier. Mr. Dozier worked for Thomas Supply for more than 40 years and was well known in the construction industry around Georgetown County. In his younger years, Mr. Dozier was an active Mason and Shriner. He had a great love for working in his yard, watching birds, being at the river and most of all spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Dozier will be remembered for his loving, witty and humorous personality. Survivors include his wife of Georgetown; two sons, James H. "Jamie" Dozier, III (Pam) of Pleasant Hill and Jason Reynolds Dozier (Bailey) of Georgetown; five grandchildren, Hannah Dozier, Rachel Dozier, Will Dozier, Jake Dozier and Emi Dozier; and two nieces, Anna Mullis (Stanley) of Clover and Patrice Smith (Mark) of Charlotte, NC. He was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Ann Lewis. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at Ridgeway Funeral Home.
