Obituary of Kathy Howard Carter

Kathy Howard Carter, 72, passed away Monday, May 15, 2023, at Prince George Healthcare. Born on April 26, 1951, in Georgetown, she was a daughter of the late Harvey Howard and the late Retha Mae Howard. Ms. Carter grew up attending Georgetown Church of God and enjoyed making sure her house was always clean, working in her yard and shopping. Survivors include three grandchildren, Mark Jayroe of Andrews, Amber Avant of Lake City and Kaitlyn Carter of Lake City; five great-grandchildren, Grayson, Ethan, Delaney, Nathan and Corbin; two sisters, Miriam Waggoner of TX and Marilyn Morris (Steve) of Georgetown; two brothers, David Howard (Kelly) of Georgetown and Bruce Howard of TN; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three children, Brenda Carter, Glenda Carter and Jimmy Carter, Jr.; and two brothers, Steve Howard and Sherwood Howard. Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Friday, May 19, 2023, in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the graveside.
