Obituary of Thomas Howard Britt

Thomas H. Britt, 85, beloved husband, dad, and “Pa Tom”, went to his heavenly home on November 5, 2022. Born on May 31, 1937, in Boardman, NC, he was a son of the late Dura Fields Britt and the late Joseph Ethridge Britt. Mr. Britt was a member of First Baptist Church and retired from International Paper Company, in Georgetown, SC, after more than 30 years of service. He enjoyed boating, woodworking, yard projects, and spending time with his rather large family. Anyone that knew him, was well aware of his love for the Clemson Tigers and his love for bacon! He is survived by his wife; Betty Britt; four children, Dereck Britt, Sandy Britt (Elizabeth), Bonnie Morrison (Bobby) and Ralph Thomas (Katie); three grandchildren, April Zorn (William), Lindsey Thomas (Stacey) and Michael Morrison (Mallory); five great-grandchildren; and one brother, Harley Britt (Shirley). Tom was proceeded in death by his first wife, Wanda H. Britt; mother, Dura Britt; father, Joseph Ethridge Britt; and siblings; Cecil Britt, Simp Britt, Joe Britt and Jeanette Smith. Tom’s surviving brother is Harley Britt. Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at First Baptist Church.
