Obituary of Donald Ray Mitchem

Donald Ray Mitchem, 80, husband of Darlene Mitchem, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2022. Born on April 6, 1942, in Spartanburg, he was a son of the late John Ransom Mitchem and the late Lizzie Duncan Mitchem. Mr. Mitchem attended Six Mile Crossing Church of God. He enjoyed fishing and joking around. He always had a story to tell. Mr. Mitchem loved spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife of Andrews; four sons, Bruce Abbott (Sherrelle), Lyn Barber (Mandy), Austin Mitchem (Taylor) and Jody Mitchem; two daughters, Jennifer Barber and Cindy Watson (Allen); one brother, Johnny Mitchem and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Denise Mitchem; three brothers, Paul Mitchem, Billy Mitchem, and J. C. Mitchem; and three sisters, Kat Burnett; Lorraine Parker and Ruby Blackwell.
