Obituary of Faye Elizabeth Howell Hewitt

Faye Elizabeth Howell Hewitt, 72, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2022. Born on June 11, 1949, in Georgetown County, she was a daughter of the late Nathan Theodore Howell and the late Lula Blanche Ray Howell. Ms. Hewitt was a member of Williams Hill Free Will Baptist Church and enjoyed reading, coloring, word search puzzles, playing BINGO and watching her favorite day time stories. She was a kind hearted and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Survivors include one daughter, Cindy Strickland (Kyle) of Georgetown; six grandchildren, Bruce Howard, Jr. (Kelli) of Georgetown, Brittany Martin of Georgetown, Justin Poston of TX, Alicein Poston of Myrtle Beach, Kelsie Strickland of Georgetown and Brice Strickland of Georgetown; five great grandchildren, Ryder Martin, Levi Martin, Layla Thompson, JW Thompson and Hayden Cooper; a special niece, Linda Poston of Georgetown; and two sisters, Cornelia Ray of Hemingway and Carrie Bell Owens of Hemingway. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Nathan "Boss Man" Howell, David Earl Howell, Charles Howell, Larry Howell and Roger Howell; and two sisters, Penny Howell and Betty Jean McKenzie. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, June 4, 2022, at Williams Hill Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
