Obituary of Helen Elizabeth Richburg Johnson

Helen Elizabeth Richburg Johnson, 90, widow of Jimmie Johnson, passed away Monday, May 9, 2022, at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Born on February 1, 1932, in Florence, she was the daughter of the late Earl Richburg and the late Virginia Mussellwhite Richburg. Mrs. Johnson was a member of Screven Baptist Church where she was a part of the Esther Sunday school class. She enjoyed cooking and helping others. Survivors include a son, Raymond “Ray” Johnson (Sandra) of Georgetown; a daughter in law, Wanda Johnson of Florida; three grandchildren, Josh Johnson (Kara) of Columbia, Rebekah Johnson of Georgetown and Bridget Johnson (O’Neill) of Florida; and two great grandchildren, Michael Johnson and Allison Johnson both of Columbia. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Johnson; a son, Jimmie “Al” Johnson; a great granddaughter, Madelynn Johnson; and two brothers, Earl Richburg and Richard Richburg. A graveside service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, May 12, 2022 in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the graveside.
