Obituary of David Smith

David James Smith, 76, widower of Patsy Williams Smith, passed away Monday, March 21, 2022, at his home. Born on August 9, 1945, in Georgetown County, he was a son of the late James Harley Smith and the late Louise Johnson Smith. Mr. Smith was of the Baptist faith and was a US Navy veteran. He had a great love for fishing and enjoyed playing and listening to bluegrass music. Survivors include a son in law, John Biddy of Georgetown; three great grandchildren, Cortley Bone of Georgetown, Camden Phillips of Georgetown and Symphony Cook of Pawleys Island; and one brother, Myron Smith (Sandra) of Georgetown. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Biddy; a granddaughter, Cameron Oviedo; and a nephew, Myron Smith, Jr. A memorial service will be held at 3 PM Friday, March 25, 2022, at Graves Southern Baptist Church.
