Obituary of Freddie Jacobs
Freddie Mitchell Jacobs, 48, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022, at his home.
Born on June 14, 1973, in Georgetown, he was a son of the late Weyman Freddie Jacobs and the late Judy Cherry Jacobs. Mr. Jacobs grew up in Eastside Free Will Baptist Church of the Pentecostal Faith and was a kid at heart. He enjoyed playing video games, working in the yard and watching the Gamecocks and San Francisco 49ers.
Survivors include two sisters, Zonda Cox (Robert) of Georgetown and Hope Jenell Swails (James) of Georgetown; five aunts, Janice Jacobs of Georgetown, Jenny Cherry of Georgetown, Joyce McConnell of Georgetown, Jeanette Britt (Robert) of Nesmith and Virginia Sessions of Georgetown; two uncles, Johnny Cherry (Delores) and Jimmy Cherry (Judy) all of Georgetown; one nephew, O'Brian Swails of Georgetown; three nieces, Sandie Johnson (Ryan), Crystal Cox and April Byars (fiancé, Eddie Poston) all of Georgetown; four great-nephews, Maddux Byars O'Brian Swails, Remington Swails and Ryland Thomas all of Georgetown; five great-nieces, Faith Swails, Hailey Swails, Elizabeth Swails, Emma Byars and Allie Swails all of Georgetown; and numerous cousins and other special family members.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Columbus and Helen Cherry; paternal grandparents, Jim and Orie Bell Jacobs; one great-niece, Arynn Swails; five uncles, Roland Jacobs, Clifford Jacobs, Earl Jacobs, Charles Jacobs and Jimmy Jacobs; and five aunts, Sadie Price, Blanche Poston, Thelma Shelley, Geneva Reeves and Kathrine Hardwick.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Monday, January 31, 2022, at Eastside Free Will Baptist Church of the Pentecostal Faith. Burial will follow in Huxfield Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM Monday at the church
