Obituary of Tracy Elliott DuMont

Tracy Elliott DuMont, 51, wife of Gregory John DuMont, passed away Thursday, November 4, 2021, at Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital. Born on August 14, 1970, in Georgetown, she was a daughter of Joseph Harris Elliott and the late Barbara Ann Cribb Howard. Tracy was an office manager for many years for Coastal Eye Group as well as DuMont Brothers Building Contractor. A lover of the outdoors, Tracy enjoyed traveling to go SCUBA diving, spending time on the boat and gardening. Family was very important to Tracy, and she loved spending time with her nieces and nephews. She was a loving wife, daughter, mother, sister, aunt and friend that will be missed by all who loved her. Survivors include her husband of Pawleys Island; father and step-mother, Patricia Elliott of Andrews; mother-in-law, Clare DuMont of Pawleys Island; a step-son, Jacob DuMont (Becca) of Socastee; one sister, Kathy Pope (Charles) of Liberty; a step brother, Solon Barrineau (Cutina) of Andrews; a step sister, Teresa Glisson (David) of Andrews; three nieces, Angela Miller (Nathan) of Easley, Heather Foxx of Georgetown and Nicole Foxx of Georgetown; a nephew, Chief Petty Officer Wesley Pope (Ruth) of Summerville; three great nephews; four great nieces; and her fur baby, Maggie. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Shawn Norris; and father-in-law, David DuMont. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Monday, November 8, 2021, at Screven Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 3-5 PM Sunday at Screven Baptist Church.
