Obituary of Walter Lambert
William Walter Lambert, 70, widower of Christine Lambert, passed away Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Born on August 2, 1951, in Georgetown County, he was a son of the late Solon Walter Lambert and the late Mary Etta Bratcher Lambert. Mr. Lambert was a member of Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church where he sang in the choir and taught vacation Bible school. He retired from International Paper Company after 32 years of service and was a former Georgetown City Police officer. Mr. Lambert was a member of Hell Hole Swamp Coon Club and served as the president of the Lambert Cemetery. He had a great love for spending time outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, horseback riding, bluegrass music, and most off all, spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his children, Lamar Morris (Jessica Johnson), Ceara Cox (Hunter), Tina Taylor and Cindy Hiott (Carl “Gator”); grandchildren, Country Taylor (fiancé, Tara Emerick), Martie Milligan (Darious), Reid Harrington, Riley Harrington, Elli Anna Stone, Marissa Morris, Paisley Davis and Oaklynn Cox; two great grandchildren, Emersyn Milligan and Baby Boy Milligan; siblings, Roger Lambert (Karen), Deon Lambert, Robert Lambert (Darlene), PeeWee Lambert (Amelia), Patricia Elliott (Harris), Lynn Thomas, Lisa Wrenn (Will) and Annette Brandon (Chris); and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Baby Boy Lambert; sister-in-law, Robin Lambert; two brothers-in-law, Donnie Barrineau and Kenneth Thomas; and a nephew, Kyle Lambert.
Funeral services will be held at 4 PM Sunday, October 31, 2021 at Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Chris Browder officiating. Burial will follow in the Lambert Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
