Obituary of Richard Allan "Dick" Pangburn

Richard Allan “Dick” Pangburn, 84, widower of Bobbie Jo Pangburn, passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at his home. Born on March 27, 1937, in Moline, IL, he was a son of the late Clark Pangburn and the late Agnes Allan Pangburn. Mr. Pangburn was a member of Herbert Memorial United Methodist Church and was a US Navy veteran. After his time in the military, Mr. Pangburn continued in public service volunteering with the Georgetown County Fire/EMS, Georgetown City Fire, Winyah Rescue Squad and at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Survivors include two sons, Richard A. Pangburn, II of Summerville and Scott C. Pangburn (Phyllis) of Dudley, NC; two grandchildren, Allan C. Pangburn (Shih) of Lancaster and Khandis M. Pangburn of Dudley, NC; and four great grandchildren, Peter J. Stokes, Andrew T. Stokes, Elijah Z. Stokes and Lilyanna M. Stokes. A memorial service will be held at 11 Am Tuesday, October 12, 2021 in the Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
