Obituary of Nellie Sue Lambert Evans

Nellie Sue Lambert Evans, 87, passed away Thursday, September 30, 2021, at her home. Born on March 20, 1934, in Georgetown, she was a daughter of the late Cleveland Tillman Lambert and the late Frances Victoria Ward Lambert. Ms. Evans was a devoted member of Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church where she was a part of Women’s Ministries and the senior citizen's group. Along with her love for church, Ms. Evans had a great love for her family and her community. Ms. Evans never met a stranger and enjoyed cooking, baking and spending time with her family. Survivors include four children, Junior Terry (Diane), Al Terry (Frances), Sylvia Geisenhof (Tim) and Michelle Thomas (Jeff) all of Georgetown; eight grandchildren, Jamie Terry, Tonya Walters (David), April Terry, Kacy Lewis (Craig), Nate’ Terry, Jason Lambert (Becky), Mindy Gosnell (Lee) and Craig Thomas; seventeen great grandchildren, Elizabeth Terry, Amber Roberts (Keith), Christopher Terry, Katelyn Walters, Hunter Walters, Harry Cole Walters, Carson Lewis, Owen Lewis, Kaliegh Morris, Benjamin Morris, J.D. Lambert, Gage Lambert, Trey Lambert, Tripp Lambert, Brock Sims and Addy Grace Gosnell; five great-great grandchildren, Cheyenne Roberts, Margaret Ann Roberts, Jana Roberts, Brandy Terry and Ava Parsons; one sister, Shirley Gailey; one brother, Norman Lambert (Willie Jean); a lifelong best friend, Bert Wilson; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Priscilla Lambert (Ervin); two great grandchildren, Logan Morris and Emma Grace Walters; two sisters, Estell Lambert and Rena Long; five brothers, Monroe Lambert, Paul Lambert, D.K. Lambert, Clifford Lambert and A.J. Lambert. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial will follow in the Lambert Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM Saturday at the church.
