Obituary of Wendy Jones Lambert

Wendy Jones Lambert, 57, wife of Steven O. Lambert, passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at the Medical University of South Carolina. Born on February 4, 1964, in Georgetown, she was a daughter of Katherine Elizabeth Roberts and the late Faithful Wendell Jones. Mrs. Lambert was a member of Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness where she was involved in Women’s Ministries, wedding and event directing, and a former youth director. She was also a member of the Family Readiness Group for the South Carolina National Guard and served as a poll manager for the Lamberttown voting precinct. Mrs. Lambert was known for a being a prayer warrior and enjoyed being on the water, fishing, working with flowers, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and most of all serving the Lord. Survivors include her husband, Steven O. Lambert of Georgetown; mother, Katherine Elizabeth Roberts of Andrews; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Bourne Lambert of Georgetown; three children, Devin Lambert (Autumn) of Georgetown, Heather Lambert of Georgetown and Candace Taylor (Kristopher) of Andrews; three grandchildren, Valerie, Ellington and Jordan; two brothers, Jerimi Cartwright of Andrews and Ethan Fontaine (Chrissy) of Conway; three sisters, Christy Johnson (Doug) of Pleasant Hill, Annie Jones (Rigo Estrada) of Andrews and Hazel Thompson (Bart) of Andrews; a sister-in-law, Suzanne Benton (Wayne) of Andrews; the Jones gals; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Faithful Wendell Jones; stepmother, Patti Jones; and father-in-law, William O'Neal Lambert. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, September 18, 2021, at Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial will follow in the Lambert Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday at Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church.
