Obituary of Christy Davis

Jennifer Christine “Christy” Davis, 47, passed away Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at her home. Born on July 11, 1973, in Georgetown, she was the daughter of Ashton Lee Davis and the late Vickie Bazen Casselman. Christy was a crafty person who enjoyed taking pictures and making jewelry. She enjoyed music and going to concerts. Christy lived life to the fullest and loved spending time on the river, being outdoors and was an avid sports fan. Survivors include her father and step mother, Ashton Lee Davis and Mildred Davis of Georgetown; one brother, Ashton Lee Davis, Jr. (Lauren) of Andrews; one half-brother, Harris Jake Casselman of Lake City; one half-sister, Ila Desiree Casselman of Georgetown; a special nephew who she adored, Owen Davis of Andrews; God child, Kassidy McCutcheon; two special aunts, Karen Davis of Andrews and Lorraine Lambert of Georgetown; and special cousins, Brandie, Shannon, Justin, Deanna and Brandan. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Edward and Corolie Davis; and maternal grandparents, Pete and Ruth Walker. A graveside service will be held at 3 PM Sunday, June 27, 2021 in the Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Saturday at Ridgeway Funeral Home.
