Obituary of Da'Marcus Arnell Grant
Da’Marcus Arnell Grant, 22, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2021.
Born on January 19, 1999, in Georgetown, he was a son of Amy Melissa Vause and Cleon Ottis Grant. Da’Marcus was a member of Wayne United Methodist Church and a 2018 graduate of Georgetown High School where he played football and basketball. He also attended Nashville Auto Diesel College. Da’Marcus had a great love for cars and enjoyed playing video games and joking with his dad.
Survivors include his mother and father of Georgetown; paternal grandmother, Viola Latham of Summerville; five brothers, Treyson Lambert, Raquan Grant, Antaun Grant, Jordan Grant and Dayzyon Grant; three sisters, A'lexus Cumbie, Moneisha Grant and Ze'nasia Grant; four nieces, Raelynn Greene, Kaizer Emersynn Greene, Kaidynce Emory Greene; one nephew, Brayden Amir Charles Grant; one aunt, Deanna Vause of Georgetown; five uncles, Jim Vause (Vera) of Georgetown, Kenneth Grant (Patricia) of Georgetown, Franklin Grant of Georgetown, Lamell Grant (Malekia) of Summerville and Andre McCants of NY; nine special friends, Henry Blake, Fred Taylor, Calvin Thomas, Daekidd Anderson, Ty Dearring, Terill Steele, and Jahbriel Walker, AJ Steele; and his extended "family", the Howard/McConnell families.
He was preceded in death by, maternal grandparents, Claudine and James Vause; paternal grandfather, Charles McCants; and one brother, Cleon Ottis Grant, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at Wayne United Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at Wayne United Methodist Church.
