Obituary of Larry Welch

Larry Dale Welch, 65, husband of Melody Lambert “Monk” Welch, passed away Friday, February 12, 2021 at his home. Born on November 15, 1955, in Conway, he was a son of the late John Buddin Welch and the late Martha Pope Welch. Mr. Welch was a US Army veteran having served in the Vietnam Era and was a truck driver for Lambert Trucking and GEO Trucking. Mr. Welch enjoyed spending time with his family, especially in the Smokey Mountains of Tennessee. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Melody Lambert “Monk” Welch; three children, April Welch, Lori Welch Hammond (Kenny) and Allison Welch (Austin) all of Georgetown; four grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Lilly, Davin and Bailee; one sister, Linda Ackerman (Wayne) of Andrews; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister, Debbie Ackerman; and two brothers, Michael Welch and Steve Welch. A graveside service will be held at 1 PM Tuesday, February 16, 2021 in the Williams Hill Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Dale Welch and Chaplain Craig Tedder officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Monday at Ridgeway Funeral Home.
