Obituary of Nancy Cherry

Nancy Ruth Baxley Cherry, 77, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2020, at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Born on June 1, 1943, in Florence County, she was a daughter of the late Lonnie Austin Baxley and the Edna Louise McAlister Baxley. Ms. Cherry was a member of Media Church of Jimmy Swaggart Ministries and loved to read her Bible. She enjoyed crafts and spending time with her family, especially her sisters. Survivors include two sons, James Vernon Cherry, Jr. (Angie Foxworth) of Georgetown and Joseph Christopher Cherry (Michelle Cherry) of Georgetown; six grandchildren, Blaine, Brandon, Noah, Dillon, Dalton and Sydnie; four sisters, Lonnie Faye Campbell of Florence, Patsy B. Norton (Fred) of Florence, Shirley B. Prosser (AJ) of Florence and Sandra B. Crawford of St. George; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, November 7, 2020, at Calvary Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
