Obituary of Ethan Hechler
Micheal Ethan Hechler, 21, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2020.
Born on October 15, 1999, in Mt. Pleasant, he was a son of John Hechler and Wanda Hechler. Ethan was a member of Rhems Pentecostal Holiness Church and was a graduate of Carvers Bay High School, where he played football, was an active member in many clubs, groups and was a proud Carvers Bay BEAR. He was currently attending Horry-Georgetown Technical College, aspiring to be an engineer. Ethan lived life to the fullest and enjoyed camping, dancing, singing, playing vinyl, spending time outdoors, making people laugh, and most of all spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his mother and father of Georgetown; maternal grandmother, Betty Kincaid of Georgetown; one brother, Dusty Hechler (Jessica) of Georgetown; two sisters, Renee Carte (Derrick Avant) of Georgetown and Desiree Hechler (Graham Plummer) of Pawleys Island; four nephews, Ashton Collins, Jaydun Collins, Naythan Hechler and Dusty "Bud" Hechler, II; four nieces, Aimarie Collins, Allison Collins, Emma Hechler and Hannah Graham; God parents, Bobby and Angie Britt and Margo Graham and Scott Graham all of Georgetown; two special friends, John Weatherford and Brian Wainscott both of Georgetown; and numerous aunts, uncles and other family members.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Lilly Bell Coker Casselman and Bob Casselman; an uncle, Leon Casselman; and God mother, Pam Connelly.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Monday, November 2, 2020, at Rhems Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12 PM – 2 PM Monday, November 2, 2020, in the Rhems Pentecostal Holiness Church fellowship hall.
