Obituary of Bobby Brian Cox

Bobby Brian “BB” Cox, 36, husband of Emily Duncan Cox, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2020 at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Born on July 14, 1984, in Charlotte, NC, he was a son of Gere Douthit Cox and the late Benjie Cox. Bobby attended Pawleys Island Community Church and was the Chief Operating Officer for Ben Cox Company. He was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity and Mingo Hunt Club. Bobby had a great love for hunting and fishing, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his wife and girls. He was always there to lend a hand or share a laugh with friends and family. Survivors include his wife of Georgetown; mother of Pawleys Island; two daughters, Reagan Cox and Reese Cox both of Georgetown; two inherited daughters, Ella Claire Lambert and Eva Lambert both of Georgetown; one sister, Brooke Poirel (Chris) of Pawleys Island; one brother, Ben Cox (Angela) of Andrews; three nephews, Chase Marshall (Julia), Zach Marshall and Topher Poirel; two nieces, Abby Cox and Annabele Cox; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends. A graveside service will be held at 10 AM Thursday, July 23, 2020 in the Piney Forest Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Ted Sherrill officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at First Baptist Church Georgetown. Due to COVID-19, the family asks that you practice social distancing and please wear a face mask at all times. Memorials may be made to a college savings account for Reagan and Reese.
