Obituary of Mary Kate Goodwin Miller

Mary Kate Goodwin Miller, 81, widow of Liles Felder “Cuda” Miller, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2020 at National Health Care. Born on April 18, 1939, in Georgetown, she was a daughter of the late John Earl Goodwin and the late Nellie McKenzie Miller. Kate was a member of First Baptist Church and attended Victory Christian Fellowship with her family. A loving, gentle, tendered hearted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and she was a friend to many. Mary Kate was a seamstress and enjoyed cooking, baking, cake decorating and most of all spending time with her family. Survivors include four children, Kathy L. Carver (James) of Cape Coral, FL, Mark F. Miller (Suzy) of Andrews, Phoebe D. Miller of International and Brenda M. Presley (Murray) of Georgetown; ten grandchildren, Nicole Sprake (Bill), Bryce Benjamin (Wendy), Eric Benjamin (Sara), Morgan Presley, Jordan Poston (Nick), Luke Presley, Lauren Miller, Shannon Miller, Allison Miller and Kaitlyn Miller; and nine great grandchildren, Larkyn Stroud (Ian), Erynn Sprake, Aiden Sprake, Jaxon Sprake, Tristian Benjamin, Brianna Benjamin, Riley Benjamin, Joel Benjamin and Lyla Benjamin. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Florine Mercer and Mable Lee Davis; three brothers, James Goodwin, Earl Goodwin and Jack Goodwin. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Victory Christian Fellowship. A live stream will be provided to those who prefer to view the service from their own home.
