Obituary of Robert Dock Hanser

Robert Dock Hanser, 82, husband of Joyce Coker Hanser, passed away Friday, May 22, 2020 at his home. Mr. Hanser was born on April 15, 1938, in Georgetown County, a son of the late Rudolph Carl Hanser and the late Esther Bauer Hanser McKenzie. He was a member of Georgetown Church of God and the Men’s Fellowship. Mr. Hanser loved spending time outdoors where he enjoyed gardening, tending to his chickens and working in the fields. Survivors include his wife of Andrews; three children, Dana Hanser Waninger (Mark) of Georgetown, Robert Bradley Hanser (Tonya) of Florence and Bryan D. Hanser (Melissa) of Andrews; five grandchildren, Wil Waninger (Stephanie) of Beaufort, Kelsey Waninger Minnick (Anderson) of Denver, CO, Joshua Hanser (Katelyn) of Andrews, Zachary Hanser (Janel) of Georgetown and Lauren Hanser of Florence; one great granddaughter, Leah Waninger of Beaufort; two brothers, Carl Hanser (Betty Jo) of Andrews and J.R. McKenzie (Penny) of Andrews; one sister, Irene Lambert of Georgetown; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Herman Hanser; and one sister, Shirley Cooper. Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Sunday, May 24, 2020 at Georgetown Church of God. Burial will follow in Andrews Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM – 2:30 PM Sunday, May 24, 2020 at Georgetown Church of God.
