Obituary of Sylvia Jane Bratcher

Sylvia Jane Bratcher, 69, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2020 at the Medical University of South Carolina. Ms. Bratcher was born on October 30, 1950, in Georgetown County, the daughter of the late Daniel Alexander Bratcher and the late Ruby Mae Ward Bratcher. She was a member of St. Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church and the 50’s Plus Club. Ms. Bratcher enjoyed watching TV and was a faithful, dedicated and loving mom and grandmother. Survivors include two children, Charles Daniel "Danny" Bratcher of Andrews and Sara Bratcher Thacker (Michael) of Georgetown; two step children, Patrick Gaines and Kellie Gaines both of Charleston; five grandchildren, Bret Thacker (Heather) of Hemingway, Macy Davis (Cody) of Andrews, Matthew Bratcher of Andrews, Hannah Thacker of Georgetown and Ryan Thacker of Georgetown; three step grandchildren, Bryant Crane of Columbia, Nichole Aragona (Angelo) of Simpsonville and Paxton Gaines of Charleston; two great grandchildren, Annalee Davis and Jameson Davis both of Andrews; four brothers, David Farrell Bratcher, Sr, (Mary), George Alexander Bratcher (Kay), Gene Carlyle Bratcher and Grailand Wayne Bratcher (Nancy), two special cousins, Becky Bratcher and Annette Brandon both of Georgetown; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter in law, Tina Bratcher; a grandson, Charles Alexander; and two brothers, Billy D. Bratcher and Charles W. Bratcher. Funeral Services will be held at 3 PM Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at St. Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial will follow in the Holmes Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday at St. Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church.
