Obituary of Ulmer James Michau

Ulmer James “Jim” Michau, 78, husband of Agnes Ellis Michau, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Born on November 27, 1941, in Hemingway, he was a son of the late Clemmons Michau and the late Lula Roberts Michau. Mr. Michau was a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church and the Men’s Fellowship. He was retired from International Paper Company and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. Mr. Michau was a United States Navy Veteran and enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife of Georgetown; three children, Micheal James Michau of Myrtle Beach, Kristina Mason of Fort Mill and Steve Michau (Marilyn) of Rock Hill; four grandchildren; three brothers, Jimmy Michau (Margie) of Augusta, Donnie Michau of Georgetown and Larry Michau (Libby) of Georgetown; one sister, Janet Blackmon (Kim) of Georgetown; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Boone and Rev. Jamie Harrelson officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, 18504 N.
