Obituary of Bobby Lee Hewitt

Bobby Lee Hewitt, 70, husband of Mary Jane Martin Hewitt, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital.

Born on June 29, 1949, in Maxton, NC, he was a son of Annie Parnell Hewitt and the late Ralph Lee Hewitt. Mr. Hewitt was a member of Ringel Heights Baptist Church and served in the Army National Guard. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and was a hard worker.

Survivors include his wife and mother of Georgetown; three children, Stephen Lee Hewitt, Paula Eugene Hewitt and Charles Lee Hewitt all of Georgetown; one step daughter, Rose Marie Oldham (Michael) of Georgetown; six grandchildren, Luke, PJ, Dalton, Stephen, Megan and Lilly; four step grandchildren, Taylor, Paige, Summer and Briar; three great grandchildren, Thomas “DJ”, Bralynn and Kalynn; two sisters, Delories Pait (Robert) of Georgetown and Diane Terry (James) of Georgetown; two brothers, Ralph Lee Hewitt, Jr. of  Jamestown and Timothy Hewitt (Jerri) of Georgetown; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Willie Parnell and Ethel Parnell and his paternal grandparents, Albert Hewitt and Della Hewitt.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at Ringel Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Bluff Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Monday at Ringel Heights Baptist Church.
