Obituary of Wayne Sylvester Smith, Jr.

Wayne Sylvester Smith, Jr., 51, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2019 peacefully at his home.

Born on April 15, 1968, in Quincey, MA, he was the son of Wayne Sylvester Smith and Patricia O’Toole Smith. Mr. Smith was a member of First Baptist Church in Andrews and was a US Army veteran having served a tour in Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was currently employed with FCI Williamsburg. Mr. Smith had a great love for cooking and enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping.

Survivors include his mother and father of Ocala, FL; two children, Benjamin Smith of Salt Lake City, UT and Nathaniel Smith of Corry, PA; his ex-wife, Stephanie Smith of Corry, PA; three sisters, Helen Smith of Wareham, MA, Theresa Kersey (Bill) of Bradenton, FL and Margaret Cooke (Eric) of Parrish, FL; two brothers in law, Troy Pentico of MI, and Jim Cutway of Monticello, NY; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Pentico and Mary Cutway.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
