I am Leo's step Grandson Little Bobby. He took me fishing and hunting when I was young. I never thought of Leo as a Step Grandfather you see because he was all I ever knew. Leo and My Grandmother Dorothy Ward Burrows were married for 40 years. That's 40 years of me watching her take Leos boots off when he came home from work. 40 years of my Grandmother making his lunch at 4 in the morning when she worked all day and came home to make his dinner. He really had it pretty good she took good care of him because she loved him just like she took good care of me because she loved me. When Grandmother got sick Leo watched after her he took care of her and nursed her along. I know this because I have seen it with my own two eyes when I was appointed Magistrate Judge I would help Leo with his legal questions before Grandmothers death and after. Then one day our family was turned upside down by silliness. And he moved off somewhere else. Leo was good at up and disappearing because he had done it before. I was glad that he was reunited with his other family however that does not erase the fact that my Grandmother his wife for over 40 years. When he is buried Friday he will be laid to rest beside my Grandmother who bought the plot he is being buried in I really find that to be ironic since his obituary states some other woman as the love of his life. You see I do not know any of you who are members of Leo's other family simply because he never introduced me to any of you. I respect your relationships with Leo and I applaud you for watching after him in his late years. However, Leo did not have to choose the path he took. You see he left you all for 40 years he left us for 6 or 7 years depending on how long he had been having an online relationship with Carol McGee while my Grandmother lye sick across the room. Leo, I will miss you and my kids will never forget their Papaw.
