Obituary of Jeanette Blake Wilson
Jeanette Blake Wilson, 84, widow of David Aubrey Wilson, entered her heavenly home on Friday, September 28, 2018 at Lexington Medical Center.
Mrs. Wilson was born on March 16, 1934, in Georgetown County, and was a daughter of the late James Lester Blake and the late Annie Myrtle Thomas Blake. She was a member of Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church and was a retired switchboard operator. Mrs. Wilson had a great love for nature and enjoyed working with her flowers in the yard, watching animals outside and loved surrounding herself with the laughter and company of little children.
Survivors include two children, David L. Wilson (Margaret) of Charleston and Carolyn E. Creasman of West Columbia; two grandchildren, Sarah Rosling of Charleston and Garrett Creasman (Michelle) of Cayce; two great grandchildren; two sisters, Bertie Maude Newton of Georgetown and Evelyn Newton of Andrews; three brothers, James L. Blake, Jr. of Mt. Pleasant, Thomas P. Blake (Lynn) of Columbia and Donnie E. Blake (Debbie) of Georgetown; and numerous nieces and nephews who affectionally called her “Aunt Net”.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lauren Elizabeth Creasman; one brother, Bernice Raymond Blake; and two sisters, Deborah Blake Pierce and Betty Ann Wiggins.
Funeral services will be held at 4 PM Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Chris Browder officiating.
Burial will be private in the Sandridge Cemetery.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church Family Life Center.
