Obituary of James Franklin Williams
James Franklin Williams, 84, husband of Sandra Faye Pinner Williams, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2018 at his home.
Born on February 5, 1934, in Horry County, he was a son of the late Ollie McCord Williams and the late Ruth Capps Williams. Mr. Williams was a member of Friendfield Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder and a deacon. He was a US Army veteran and was retired from International Paper Company. Mr. Williams enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of Georgetown; two children, Jamie W. Curry (Nelson Brown) of Georgetown and James Kent Williams (Simon Robinson) of London, England; three grandchildren, Michael Ward (Katie) of Guyton, GA, Jacob Curry of Georgetown and Anna Curry of Georgetown; four great grandchildren, Carsyn Ward, Collyn Ward, Pierce Shelley and Walyn Smith; four sisters, Olivee Cannon of Conway, Gwen Woodard of Conway, Barbara Griffin of Aiken and Sandra McCracken (Carlyle) of Bolivia, NC; one brother, Aubrey Williams (Emmie) of Conway; a brother in law, Vance Singleton of Charlotte, NC; a numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Miriam Singleton, Vera Graham and Betty Hardee.
A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Friendfield Presbyterian Church with Rev. Johnnie DeLoach officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church fellowship hall.
