Obituary of Wayne Henry Scott

Wayne Henry Scott, 69, husband of Deborah Forehand Scott, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2018 at his home.

Born on May 17, 1948, in Orangeburg, he was a son of Minnie Lou Haddock Scott and the late James Henry Scott, Jr. Mr. Scott was a member of First Baptist Church and was a charter member of the Swamp Fox Fellowship Riders. He enjoyed many things in life to include: boating, fishing, camping and riding his motorcycle.

Survivors include his wife of Georgetown; mother of Orangeburg; four children, Kenneth Wayne Scott (Regina) of Georgetown, Michael Barry Scott (Porcher) of McClellanville, Glenda Diane Scott of Myrtle Beach and Curtis Hamilton Scott of Georgetown; four grandchildren, Brandy Lee of Cope, Adam Scott of Myrtle Beach, Alexis Scott of Georgetown and Elizabeth Scott of McClellanville; three great grandchildren, Dylan Lee, Tala Lee and Deacon Lee; two sisters, Gale Rivenbark (John) of Orangeburg and Susan Harley (Eddie) of Orangeburg; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Wendel Scott.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Monday, January 29, 2018 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Ted Sherrill and Rev. Jamie Harrelson officiating.

The family will receive friends from 3-5 PM Sunday at First Baptist Church.
