Obituary of Edna C. Newman Fore

Edna C. "Bobbie" Newman Fore, 90, widow of Malcolm B. Fore, passed away Monday, January 1, 2018 at her daughter’s home.

Born on April 18, 1927, in Hemingway, she was a daughter of the late John Percy Newman and the late Emma Constantine Buffkin Newman. Mrs. Fore was a member of Messiah Baptist Church and was a real estate broker and owned Fore Real Estate. She was the past president of the REAP organization, where she worked with troubled children and she enjoyed shopping and spending time with others.

Survivors include a daughter, Connie F. Lawrimore (Cham) of Georgetown; three sons, Malcolm Fore, Jr. of Georgetown, Donald Fore of Alaska and Robert Fore of Kingstree; five grandchildren,  Tristram Lawrimore (Jennifer) of Columbia, Angela Lawrimore of Georgetown, Bryan Lawrimore (Jennifer) of Greenville, Greg Lawrimore of Georgetown and Emma Lawrimore (Michael) of Georgetown; seven great grandchildren, Noah, Abigail, Emmit, Brice, Kinnon, Chance and Lila; one sister, Rosa Dean Hoffman of Florida; two brothers, Eddie Newman of Kentucky and David Gordon Newman (RuthAnn) of Hemingway; and three special friends, Robin Grainger, Hope Feagin and Wayne Shockley.

She was preceded in death by a grandchild, Jessica Fore; and a brother, John Percy Newman, Jr.

Graveside services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, January 6, 2018 in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
