Obituary of Jesse Johnson Floyd

Jesse Johnson Floyd, 27, wife of Ryan Alexander Floyd, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Savannah Memorial Hospital in Savannah, GA.

 Born on August 16, 1989, in Myrtle Beach, she was a daughter of Ronald David Johnson and Judy Jacobs Johnson. Jesse graduated from Coastal Carolina University where she received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a master’s degree in reading and literacy education. She also received a master’s degree in educational administration from the University of South Carolina and was a National Board Certified teacher. Her love for education lead her to several different schools to include, Maryville Elementary School, Pritchardville Elementary School, Royal Live Oaks Academy and most recently, Hilton Head Island Elementary School.

 Jesse was a member of Lowcountry Community Church and enjoyed shopping, going to the beach, reading and spending time with her family. Jesse had a loving heart and always had a genuine smile. She was a beloved wife, daughter, sister, aunt, friend and educator that will be dearly missed by all who knew her and loved her.

 Survivors include her husband of Bluffton; mother and father of Georgetown; maternal grandmother, Lucille Jacobs of Georgetown; mother in law, Shirley Floyd of Johnsonville; one sister, Adrienne Watford (Dave) of Georgetown; two brothers, Adam Johnson (Melissa) of Summerton and Juston Johnson (Tracy) of Georgetown; one niece, Peyton Watford; four nephews, Carson Watford, Tristan Johnson, Aidan Johnson, and Owen Watford; numerous aunts and uncles; and her beloved dog, Bailey.

 She was preceded in death by an unborn son, Eli Alexander Floyd; maternal grandfather, Clifford Jacobs; paternal grandparents, Ferney Johnson and Ruby Johnson; and father in law, Lonnie Floyd.

 Funeral Services will be held at 4 PM Sunday, July 30, 2017 at Georgetown Church of God. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.

 The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM Sunday at the church.
