Obituary of Howard Conny Shoptaw

Howard Conny Shoptaw, 72, husband of Janice Robbins Shoptaw, passed away on June 18, 2015 at his home. Born on June 23, 1942, in Hinsonton, GA, he was a son of the late Louis Howard Shoptaw and the late Doris Virginia Blanchard Shoptaw. Mr. Shoptaw was a member of Victory Christian Fellowship and was a Mason. He retired from DHEC with more than 30 years of service and enjoyed working with computers, hunting and spending time at the lake. Survivors include his wife of Georgetown; three children, Rus Shoptaw (Renee) of Georgetown, Lee Long (James) of Georgetown and Shellie Barker (Dean) of Blythewood; seven grandchildren, Chelsie Singletary, Jay Long, Myah Long, Caleb Barker, Josiah Barker, Noah Barker and Isabelle Barker; one brother, S.W. Shoptaw (Sylvia) of Randleman, NC; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Louis Ronny Shoptaw. Funeral Services will be held at 3 PM Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Victory Christian Fellowship. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
