Obituary of Mickey Allen Poston

Mickey Allen Poston, 66, beloved husband of Doris Goings Poston, passed away Friday, June 2, 2017 at his home.

Born on March 6, 1951, in Georgetown, he was a son of the late James Harvey Poston and the late Semeria Hardin Poston. Mr. Poston retired from the Georgetown Steel Mill and enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of Georgetown; three sons, Jamie Poston (Karen), Craig Poston (Emmy) and Chad Poston all of Georgetown; six grandchildren, Tyler Poston, Emily Poston, Seth Poston, Katelynn Poston, Mickey “Allen” Poston, II and Kyle Poston; one great grandchild, Hadley Poston; one brother, Donnie Poston (Patsy) of Georgetown; and a special friend, Ron Burkett (Jane) of Georgetown.

He was preceded in death by three brothers in law, John Goings, L.C. Goings and Joe Goings; and a special cousin, Larry Poston.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Monday, June 5, 2017 at Screven Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Todd officiating. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and other times at the home.
